Working in Austria
To carry out a gainful activity or a short-term activity similar to gainful employment (e.g. an internship), a visa is required.
For any questions regarding the Austrian labor market in general or the necessary work permits, please contact the Austrian Public Employment Service directly.
Driving Licence
Holders of a Monegasque driving licence who move to Austria may continue to use it for six months. However, it must be accompanied by an international driving permit or a translation. After this six-month period, the licence expires and must be exchanged.
When converting a non-EU/EEA driving licence, a practical driving test is generally required. However, no practical driving test is required when converting a Monegasque driving licence.
