
In case of emergency
- Contact the Monegasque Embassy in Germany or the nearest Honorary Consulate of Monaco in Germany
- Remember to contact the Monegasque Authorities
- Remember to notify your family and friends in Monaco
In the event of loss or theft:
Remember to report it as soon as possible to the local authorities (police station or gendarmerie) so that they can issue a declaration of loss or theft.
- Your bank card: immediately stop payment on your bank card at your card centre (Carte Bleue, Visa, MasterCard, etc.)
- Your cheque book: immediately stop payment at your bank branch
- Your identity card: go to the Civil Status Department of the Monaco Town Hall with the declaration of loss or theft to obtain a new card. Since the introduction of the Carte d'Identité Monégasque Electronique (CIME), it is no longer possible to obtain this document remotely. Fingerprints and a photo of the card holder must be scanned on site
- Your passport:
- Applying for a duplicate of your passport
- The form "Monegasque passport application for an adult" must be signed (the signature will be scanned)
- Send the application to the Embassy of Monaco or directly to the Secrétariat Général du Gouvernement - Service des Passports with:
- A photograph that is less than one year old and complies with international standards (colour photograph, light background, full face, bare head, no smiling, size 35 x 45 mm, clear glasses)
- A declaration of loss or theft
- A cheque for €60 (or €30 for children under 3) made payable to the Trésorerie Générale des Finances
- Your driving licence:
- Fill in a request for a duplicate of your driving licence
- Send the request to the Embassy of Monaco or directly to the Service des Titres de Circulation with:
- A letter stating your status (student, trainee, employee, etc.)
- An identity photograph
- A declaration of loss or theft
- a cheque for €37 made payable to the Service des Titres de Circulation.
- Your mobile phone: immediately suspend your mobile phone line with your operator to prevent it being misused by a third party.
