Opening of the ‘Monaco’ area at Europa-Park

On 29 June 2026, H.S.H. Prince Albert II, H.S.H. Princess Charlène and the Princely Children, together with H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie, were at the famous Europa-Park in Rust (Baden-Württemberg) to inaugurate the new themed area decorated in the colours of the Principality.

At the invitation of Mr Roland Mack, founder of the park – Germany’s leading tourist attraction – numerous local and national German dignitaries attended the opening ceremony.

On the Monegasque side, a large delegation made the journey, including Monaco’s Ambassador to Germany, several Honorary Consuls of the Principality, as well as representatives from the Directorate of Tourism and Conventions, the Société des Bains de Mer, the Oceanographic Museum, the Monte Carlo International Circus Festival, and the Automobile Club de Monaco...

Now the park’s 18th European-themed quarter, this area invites visitors to discover the many facets of Monaco through an immersive experience showcasing its heritage, culture, way of life, gastronomy and commitment to protecting the oceans. Through a collection of artefacts, it offers a glimpse of the major events and symbols that make the Principality so appealing (Casino, Monaco Grand Prix, Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival, ASM Football Club, AS Monaco Basket…)

At the opening ceremony, H.S.H. Prince Albert II also unveiled the ‘Place Grimaldi de Monaco’, a symbol of the long-standing friendship between the Princely Family and the Mack family, and, more broadly, of the special ties between the Principality and Europa-Park.
