The Department of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation organised the annual conference of Heads of Mission of the Principality’s diplomatic corps on 8 and 9 April 2026.
Ms Isabelle BERRO-AMADEÏ, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, opened the proceedings by recalling the importance of these exchanges on the priorities of the Principality’s foreign policy, in an international context marked by significant tensions and deep uncertainty.
As the Principality prepares to assume the Presidency of the Council of Europe, this edition featured an address by the Secretary General of the Organisation, Mr Alain Berset, who spoke about the current geopolitical environment and the role of the Council of Europe in this context.
Over the course of the two days of discussions, several topical issues were also addressed, including:
• The protection of public institutions, during an awareness-raising session led by representatives of the French Directorate General for Internal Security, in cooperation with the Department of the Interior;
• The Principality’s attractiveness strategy, presented by Ms Ludmilla RACONNAT LE GOFF, Country Chief Officer for Attractiveness, reporting to the Minister of State;
• The reorganisation of the Monaco Economic Board, which is refocusing on its role as a chamber of commerce, presented by Mr Guillaume ROSE, Executive Director General;
• Efforts undertaken by State services to combat money laundering and the financing of terrorism, presented by Mr Frédéric CHARTIER, Executive Coordinator of the Permanent Secretariat of the Coordination and Monitoring Committee for the national AML/CFT strategy.
The conference concluded with a luncheon attended by H.E. Mr Christophe MIRMAND, Minister of State, and the Ministers of Government.
