On 19 March 2026, the Prince’s Government renewed its partnership with the Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation for a further four years. The agreement was made in Berlin by H.E. Mr Lorenzo Ravano, Monaco’s Ambassador to Germany, and Mr Wojciech Soczewica, Director General of the Foundation, and will ensure continuing support for the “Auschwitz. In front of your eyes” programme.
This interactive educational scheme, which the Principality has supported since 2022, has already seen several hundred classes of school students take a virtual tour of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp and museum.
Using online resources to teach younger generations about history and pass on the duty of remembrance is essential to tackling antisemitism and Holocaust distortion, and conveying a clear message: “Never again.”
Following a proposal from the Embassy, Monaco’s Department of Education, Youth and Sport has included these virtual visits in the curriculum for final-year secondary pupils studying Humanities, Literature and Philosophy, as well as History, Geography, Geopolitics and Political Science.
Although designed mainly for schools, the virtual online tour is available to all. https://visit.auschwitz.org/
